Finding the perfect kitchen lighting is like discovering that little extra touch that turns your favorite recipe up to the next level. We have lots of lights to help you undergo a successful kitchen lighting makeover, which is exactly what we helped Ashley Knie do.
Ashley was having a hard time finding lights for her kitchen. (It can be tough!) That is, until she found the Hudson Valley Dutchess 11″ mini pendant in aged brass. Dutchess has a vintage-inspired look that draws style inspiration from the 1920s, featuring a fluted white glass shade and thoughtful hardware detailing.
The vintage look of Dutchess goes well with many different features here, like the legs on the island and barstools, and pairs nicely with the brass faucet and drawer pulls.
“When I saw these I knew they were the one,” Ashley says. “The brass and milk glass combo is ?!”
If your kitchen is set up to allow for a pendant light over the sink, we definitely recommend putting one there. It just makes the area look so complete. Plus you can see that the view outside the window is not obstructed by the light!
A little while after getting her Dutchess lights, Ashley had an idea. She wanted to make a change, so she used Rub ‘n Buff on the lights to darken the finish a little bit:
